What a lovely picture of Aunt Marilyn. Thinking of you all with warmth in my heart. I am so sad for you all, and sad for us in Iowa because we really didn't get to know any of you and barely got to know Aunt Marilyn and Uncle Don. I think Cindy and a couple of you boys were in the Chicago area and we got to visit once. I remember Aunt Marilyn going on the train with us and to a big movie theater were we saw "How the West was Won". I remember how terribly sick she got after eating canned mushrooms. Doubt she ever ate them again. I loved how she made mac and cheese on the stove top. I make it that way still. Aunt Marilyn was so soft spoken and nice. Your Dad was nice too. He stopped in Iowa a few times many years ago. I remember being in your parent's wedding as the flower girl. I wonder if there are pictures. I'm guessing so. i'm the really chubby one.:) Still am. Aunt Marilyn gave me a lovely big jewelry box. I believe it was for my HS graduation. I still use to this day. My husband and two friends and I stopped by Colorado Springs many years ago on our way home from skiing. You kids were all still at home I believe. Your folks welcomed us in and Aunt Marilyn fixed us a nice meal. Your Dad took us out for a cocktail, then we were on our way. They were very nice to us. We, Aunt Marilyn and I, started communicating over internet a few years back, which was really nice. Unfortunately, we both just kind of drifted away from each other again. Hopefully some day we can get to know each other a bit better. I'm going to retire later this year. My husband and I might be up for some travel one day. Any of you would be welcome to come our way too! Here's to hoping we all meet in the not so distance future. My email is jbuchmayer@msn.com, if you'd like to connect.
