Obituary of Bruno Victor Alfieri
Bruno Victor Alfieri, loving husband, father and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was the only child of Salvatore and Adele Alfieri. His father was a successful business man, managing a silk factory in Italy, and his mother was a seamstress and incredible cook. They moved from Italy to New Jersey, where Bruno was born on June 6, 1923 in Union City.Bruno grew up loving music. As a young man, he played piano in a five-piece band called the Keynotes in the 1940s. He also showed an aptitude for mathematics and business. He graduated from New York University with a Bachelor's Degree, and began working as an accountant. Bruno met his bride, Irma Plasmati, at a summer vacation spot on the Jersey shore that both families frequented. They married May 30, 1949. Bruno worked his way up to President of Central Station Signals in New York City while the family grew to six children, Kenneth, Denise, Robert, Lisa, Tom, and Christopher.In the summer of 1971, they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bruno and Irma eventually began attending Victory Love Fellowship. Bruno received his Bachelor's Degree in Theology from Vision International University, and was ordained as a pastor at Victory Love Fellowship. He continued in his role as a minister of pastoral care for Legacy Church, counseling, visiting hospitals to pray for the sick, encouraging people, and sharing his faith. After "retiring" at the age of 91, he continued to pray for the sick and lead people to Christ until he passed into Glory.He is survived by five of his children, Denise, Robert, Lisa, Tom, and Chris; ten grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
