Obituary of Jeanne Louise Bittner
Jeanne Louise Bittner, 92, long-time resident of the Black Forest, died April 4, 2017. She was born Jeanne Louise Clarke, December 1, 1924, in Boston, Massachusetts.Jeanne worked at MIT before marrying Burt Bittner and relocating to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Upon moving to the Black Forest of Colorado in 1959, Jeanne became an integral part of the community, serving as Girl Scout leader, precinct captain for the Republican Party, and on the governing council of the Black Forest Community Church. An avid outdoorswoman and animal/dog lover, Jeanne was one of the first people in Colorado to use goats as pack animals for her hiking trips. Jeanne is survived by four children, Bonnie (Doug) Girardi-Marts, Kristine Reyes, Enid (Michael) Probst, and B.J. (Kenlee) Bittner.
