Obituary of Evelyn Helen Hofmann

Evelyn Helen Hofmann, 99, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, went to join J.C. and Tony on April 4, 2017. She almost made it to 100.Evelyn was born in Buffalo, New York on June 17, 1917 to John Henry Hofmann and Helen Hofmann.Evelyn spent her career in the military. She joined the Army March 1943, was discharged November 1945 after WWII was over. She joined the reserves for six years, and worked in Data Processing.Evelyn re-enlisted in the Women Army Corp for six years and was stationed in Germany and France. She then joined the United States Air Force until she retired May 1, 1971 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.She is survived by a nephew; John Hofmann, a niece; Maryann Rizzo both of New York, a godson David Odom of Florida, and Goddaughter; Barbara Carr of New York.Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, a sister; Mary Louise Hofmann, a brother; John William Hofmann. Evelyn has always lived her life to the fullest. She had a strong religious faith which gave her the strength to get through everything that was put in her path.Evelyn's message: "I am so grateful to my family and friends. I love you and I will miss you.
