Obituary of Steven Lee Stonestreet

Steven Lee Stonestreet went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2017.Steve was born on July 13, 1955 in Houston, Texas. In 1973, he graduated from Spring Woods High School in Houston, Texas, and from Texas A&M University in 1977 with an Industrial Distribution degree. He moved to Colorado in 1988 and shortly thereafter, met his wife-to-be, Kris Olson. They married on September 29, 1991 in Indian Hills, Colorado. In 1994, their son, Nathan, was born. Steve lived in Colorado for twenty-eight years, the place he always wanted to be.Steve's career spanned three basic areas of industry expertise, which included industrial and manufacturing, application software, and telecommunications. In each case, he achieved excellence, being a top performer in sales as well as executive management. While he was VP of International Sales, he managed direct and channel sales for all the U.S., Asia-Pacific, and South America. His ability to initiate, cultivate, and maintain relationships was key to his way of life. Whether in business, at church, at Starbucks, at Rotary Club, wherever he went, this is what he did and who he was. He was interested in others, and people loved him for it. His networking and relationship building abilities were part of his "genetic-code." He touched many lives.Steve was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. He enjoyed hiking, rafting, hunting, skiing, and more. He couldn't stay inside, he had to be outside doing something, and it was usually fun.Steve was involved in worship. He served as a worship band member, worship leader, and behind the stage in cameras and sound. He had a heart for missions, and went to Romania on a missions trip. Close to his heart were projects that provided water wells for communities that were in need.Steve was a good, honest, responsible, faithful man who believed in duty and honor and loved his God and family deeply.Steve is survived by his wife, Kris; son, Nathan; sister, Vicki Haack; and brother, Scott.Visitation, 9:00AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00AM, Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Church for All Nations, 6540 Templeton Gap Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
