Obituary of Jamie Kenlee Roth

Jamie was born on July 6, 1978 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jamie was baptized at Emmanuel Lutheran Church September 14, 1980, where he later attended elementary school. He lived in New Mexico until 1986. He then lived in New Jersey until 1991. He attended Country Side Elementary School and Thomas E. Harrington Middle School where he played soccer, baseball, track, and wrestling. He moved to Colorado Spring in 1991. Jamie was confirmed at Shepherd of the Springs Lutheran Church on April 26, 1992. Jamie attended Timberview Middle School and Liberty High School. On October 10, 1996, Jamie married Alicia Roth (Szymanski). He joined the United States Army October 31, 1996. His oldest daughter, McKensy Roth, was born March 10, 1997. That same summer, Jamie, Alicia, and Kensy moved to Germany where his youngest daughter, Madison, was born August 21, 1999. While in the Army, Jamie proudly served his country by deploying to Kosovo in 1999, and then Afghanistan shortly after 9/11/2001. While serving in Afghanistan, Jamie was awarded a Bronze Star for his courageous actions that aided the security of his fellow soldiers and our country. Jamie left the military in November of 2002, but continued to serve his country as a government contractor, with several deployments to the middle east, including the Iraq war effort. In 2005, after returning from Iraq, he moved back home to Colorado Springs with his family. In 2016, Jamie chose to pursue his passion for fly fishing, and became a guide for Angler's Covey. Jamie was working for World Wide Technology at the time of his passing. Jamie had a passion for serving others, and often volunteered with Project Healing Waters. In addition to his passion and for fly fishing, Jamie was an amazing musician. Jamie was loved by everyone who knew him, and is missed deeply by those who loved him.
