Obituary of Lynn Erickson Zentz

Lynn E. Zentz, age 77, was a long time resident of Colorado Springs. He was born May 14, 1939, and passed away April 17, 2017 in Colorado Springs. Lynn was a local paint contractor for over forty years. Lynn passed away peacefully after a short illness. Lynn was born in Simla, Colorado to William Ralph Zentz and Leota Gertrude (Erickson) Zentz. Lynn attended school locally until 1956. He joined the Air Force at the age of 17, and was fortunate enough to see many countries of the world. Lynn left the Air Force in 1960, returned home to Colorado Springs, and married the love of his life in 1961, Joan (Sheesley) Zentz. He is survived by three beloved sons, Mike (Maureen), Pat (Cindee), and Jeff (Nancy); two beloved granddaughters, Amanda and Brianna; and one beloved great-grandson, Jayden. He is also survived by his four sisters, Coleen Gilmore, Mary Offineer, Ann Lazor, and Marlene Beaman; and one brother, Randall Zentz. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan (Sheesley) Zentz; beloved grandson, Michael Taylor Zentz; beloved father and mother, William Ralph and Leota Gertrude Zentz; and beloved brothers and sisters, Bill Zentz, Jerry Zentz, Delcina Glenn, and Ramona Padgett.Lynn found happiness in hard work, fishing, hunting, playing cards, dancing, cars, and family.
