Obituary of Jerry Lee Brill

Jerry Lee Brill passed away peacefully in his sleep in Colorado Springs, Colorado on April 18, 2017. He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. Jerry was born December 24, 1935 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Fred Brill, Jr. and Clara (Frank) Brill. Jerry was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Gold Canyon, Arizona.He graduated from Denver University with a Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate and as an Air Force Officer ROTC. He served seven years in the United States Air Force as a KC-135 Pilot. He was very proud of his service, and loved being a pilot, which took him around the world. He started Merit Real Estate in 1967, which has been carried on by his son, Kerry Brill, and continues to flourish.Jerry would be the first to say he had an incredible life and many hobbies. Jerry had a larger-than-life personality and was always bursting with energy. His happiest state of mind was carving, building things, painting, and spending time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and outdoor enthusiast. His favorite memories were spending time outdoors with his son and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Christa Brill; his sister, Jane Bleyle; and his son, Kerry (Kathy) Brill. He is survived by his grandchildren, Brook (Justin) Morris, Jordan (Dean) Yost, Jacob Brill, Gina Ellis, Amber Sculac, Ashley (Adam) Bobay, and Whitney (Brandon) Keefer; and eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by his stepchildren, Paul Marlett and Robert (Karen) Marlett; and five stepgrandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Brill, Jr. and Clara (Frank) Brill and his lovely daughter, Karen Sculac.
