Obituary of Elton Lyle "Lefty" Winter
"Lefty" Winter, age 76, died on March 30, 2017 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was retired from Walker Realty, and had worked a number of odd jobs in his retirement years.Elton Lyle Winter was born on June 17, 1940 in Fort Morgan, Colorado to the late Alex and Edna (Meljo) Winter. He was a 1958 graduate of Fort Morgan High School, and then graduated from Blair Business College. He went to work as a real estate broker for Walker Realty, and eventually became its Vice President. He loved to fish, hunt, and camp, and was the former Past Exalted Ruler of BPOE Lodge No. 309 in Colorado Springs.He is survived by his sons, Darrel (Mary) Winter of Calhan, Colorado and Harold Winter of Colorado Springs. He has a brother, Lavar of Colorado Springs; a grandson, Chris Winter; and granddaughter, Megan Olhava.
