Obituary of Marion Neil Schuknecht

Marion Schuknecht was called home to Our Lord on June 21, 2017 and is now smiling and laughing in heaven with her husband, Tom, and dog, Dolly. Marion was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who felt a deep closeness to her faith and was an inspiration to those who knew her.She was born in Manitowoc, Wisconsin on March 5, 1933 to Edwin and Edna Erickson. She married Thomas Schuknecht on August 21, 1954, making their home in the Chicago area until 1974 when they moved to Arizona. They were married fifty-four wonderful years. She graduated from college as a Medical Technician but she found her true calling interacting and assisting the students and staff in the Scottsdale Chaparral High School bookstore. Marion is survived by her three children, Jan Marcus, Eric Schuknecht, and Heidi (Tim) Redelsperger. She is also survived by her brother, Neil Erickson; and her four grandchildren, Tyler, Shawn, Riley, and Scott. Marion will be greatly missed by many wonderful, loving family members and friends from Florida, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Colorado.A Celebration of Marion's Life will be held, 3:00PM, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1529 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.There will be a reception directly after in the Fellowship Hall.Marion was a cherished member of the choir and requested in lieu of flowers that donations go to Faith Presbyterian Church to be used for the music department and Fellowship kitchen.Funeral Home:The Springs Funeral Services3115 East Platte AvenueColorado Springs, , COUS 80909 Events Service Saturday, July 15, 2017 3:00PM Faith Presbyterian Church 1529 N.
