I first met Cliff in 1972 and what a joy! It was also a time when his Mom, Dad, and sister Kim became my dear, lifelong friends and family. Though time and distance had a way to separate us, we found each other and staying in touch remains a blessing! Over the years, I've had the pleasure of sharing phone conversations with Cliff and I was amazed at how fast time went by but most of all what a fine young man he grew up to be. His manners, energy, interests, and overall unique sense of humor were only a little part of who he was, and I was able to know personally. I knew of his kindness and giving to family members and friends if they were sick, or needed help. My heart is heavy with sadness to learn of his sudden departure and my deepest condolences to the Schmidt family and all relatives. May we all find strength in prayer to ease our pain and help us to be strong, so that in the days ahead we find peace and comfort within. As Cliff enters into his spiritual journey, always remember him and keep his spirit alive by thoughts of him, photos of him, and conversations or memories about him.
