Obituary of SFC Richard "Rich" W. Hansen, US Army,

Rich W. Hansen passed away on October 9, 2017, at the age of 69 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born on September 26, 1948, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Emil Markal and Dorothy (Stevens) Hansen.Rich retired from the U.S. Army after serving for 20 years and also served three tours in Vietnam. He is also retired from Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Kentucky. After his retirement, he moved back to his home state of Colorado.Rich is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Hansen; and his father, Emil Markal Hansen.He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hansen; three sons, Markal (Cheri) Hansen, John Hansen of Kentucky, and Brian Hansen of Kentucky; four granddaughters, Mira Hansen, Eleyna Hansen, Talia Hansen, and Kayla Hansen; and two grandsons, Zanye Hansen, and Brian Hansen, Jr. Donations in Rich's memory may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Organization (VFW), the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, or your favorite military organization.
