Obituary of Noah Kent Murphy

Noah Kent Murphy, age 7, died on October 17, 2017 at a local hospital after an incident in his home. He was in the 2nd grade at Edison Elementary School in Colorado Springs. He had a great imagination, knew all of his neighbors, loved video gaming and nerf guns. He loved the outdoors, roller blades, bicycling and walking with his dad to the comic book store. Sophia Grace Murphy, age 5, died on the same day at the hospital. She was in Kindergarten at Edison Elementary School and loved to read. She had a great interest in Shopkins, Barbies, My Little Pony and doll houses. She loved old jewelry, swimming, going to the library, spending time with her mom, making friends and welcoming new students to her school.Noah and Sophia enjoyed bible study classes at Mountain Springs Church. These children of family and faith are survived by their loving parents, Vinnie and Melissa (Mason) Murphy of Colorado Springs who are formerly of Lincoln, Nebraska; and also survived by three siblings, Elijah and Hannah. They are also survived by their paternal grandparents, John and Michelle Peterson of Topeka, Kansas; their maternal grandparents, Corinne Mason of Colorado Springs; and Terry (Vickie) Mason of Lincoln. Survivors also include: great grandmothers, Lois Kammerlohr of Beatrice, Nebraska and Barbara Leister of Monument; uncle, Marcus Mason of Rapid City, South Dakota; and aunts, Natalie Mason of Omaha, Claire Mason of Lincoln and Brooklyn Moore of Kansas City. Their great uncle is Mitch (Paula) Liester of Monument, Colorado and great aunt Monelle Liester of Denver.
