Ira Victor Akens, Jr., age 75, died on Thursday, October 19, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ira Akens, Jr. was born on August 13, 1942 in Demopolis, Alabama to Ira Victor Akens and Muriel Elizabeth Noland. He was a United States Air Force veteran and also a carpenter in the construction industry. Ira is survived by sons, Ira, Geoff and Thomas Akens; and grandson, Alex Akens. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
