Obituary of Merideth "Meri" Hill
Meri Hill, age 40, passed after courageously battling cancer for over seven years in Colorado Springs. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Meri was born on January 19, 1977 in Walsenburg, Colorado to Tom and Linda Simpleman. She grew up in Walsenburg and later relocated to Manitou Springs. She graduated from Manitou Springs High School with the class of 1995. She later attended Pueblo Community College earning two degrees.Meri worked as an IT Professional at Pueblo Community College, Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Inc. and Glacier Technologies.Meri enjoyed spending time with family, time outdoors camping in locations like Poncha Springs and Lake McConaughy, and watching the Denver Bronco games.She is survived by her parents, Linda Simpleman, and Tom (Don Campbell) Simpleman; husband, Troy Hill; son, Cory Hill; daughters, Serina (Josh) Holbrooks, and Sarah (Jose Marquez) Nickle; sister, Mandy (Ben) Davis; brother, Matt (Melissa) Simpleman; grandmother, Erma Booze; and grandchildren, Pepito and Bella.Meri is preceded in death by her sister, Minda (Stan) Skelton.Rosary, 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00AM, Thursday, November 30, 2017, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2650 Parish View, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. Inurnment immediately following, Mount St. Francis Columbarium.
