Obituary of Dean Arnold Schneebeck

Dean Arnold Schneebeck, 82, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Dean was born June 15, 1935, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado with BS in Electrical Engineering. He married Julia Diane Willis on September 9, 1956. He first moved to San Diego where he worked on the first Atlas ICBM. Then he became a long-time resident of Littleton, Colorado and Santa Clara, California. He worked for Lockheed Martin for many years, retiring in California. He had a deep love of the space programs (Titan I, II, & III, Viking lander, and many others) that he worked on for so many years. In his retired years, his and Diane's love for trains was reborn and they travelled behind steam locomotives or diesel, it did not matter. He recently moved to Huntsville, Alabama, to be closer to family.He is survived by his brother, Gene Schneebeck and wife, Charlotte; two sisters, Marybeth Flynn and husband, Mike and Marty Schneebeck; two daughters, Sharon Case and husband, Coe and Debbie Finch and husband Steve; one son, Byron Austin; two grandsons, Christopher Case and Patrick Finch; five granddaughters, Angela Folse, Tammy Headrick, Leah Dias, Elizabeth Finch, and Katrina Finch.He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Diane; two of his children, Kathy Dulnoan and Keith Schneebeck; mother, Lillian Schneebeck; father, Arnold Schneebeck; and brother, Kip Schneebeck.Graveside Service, 11:00AM, Tuesday, January 2, 2018, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.
