Obituary of Clarence "Click" Edgar Barton, Jr.

Clarence "Click" Edgar Barton, Jr. died peacefully on December 15, 2017 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 81.Click is survived by his wife, Karen; children, Charles, Richard, Karen Sue, David, and Scott; as well as eighteen grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren. Click was born on October 16, 1936 in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania to Clarence Edgar Barton and Laura Moffie. He was then raised by his mother and Italian immigrant grandparents in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. After high school he served in the Army for seven years. While stationed in Colorado in 1958 he married Karen Rae Anderson. Click began working for Metropolitan Life and was moved to Boulder, Colorado with the company in 1964. He later started his own Life Insurance agency in Boulder, and after relocating to Colorado Springs in 1985 he eventually founded Heart House Siding and Windows. Anyone who knew Click would agree he was someone who "never met a stranger". Click's family fondly remembers his unwavering support of the Colorado Buffaloes and the joy he got from watching his children compete in various sports. Click also played a significant role in the development of new baseball fields for Flatirons Little League in the 1970's and sponsored the Fairview American Legion A Elite baseball team for many years through the "Barton Financial Group". His entrepreneurial spirit, love of fishing and exploring the west, and passion for reading and learning new things have all been passed on to each of his children in unique ways.
