My sweet Baby Harleigh, I love you so much. You were the best sidekick, the best pretend girlfriend, dance partner while doing our makeup, and backup singer ever. I wish I could tell you how different things are.. When I was 16, I was in the same mindset you were. But things change. I wish you would've given them time to do so. Five minutes, five months, or even five years - things can be so different. I miss you beyond words. I kiss talking to you about any and everything. You're my best friend in the whole world, and NOBODY will ever take your place. We promised that we would take our secrets to the grave, I just wish it wasn't you first.. :( The harsh reality is that even though I never wanted to be without you, I knew one day we'd attend one of our funerals alone. Our bug! What a fun school project! We even used one of my wine corks! You wrote such an awesome story about this special bug; such an imagination! She loved danger and never cared for the consequences and that's the reason we met, we were careless we never gave a damn about anything and when we lost our minds all we had was each other but it was with that carelessness we pushed each other away and it didn't matter how much we hated each other if she ever came back I was happy to hear her voice, and now that I'll never hear her voice again I don't know if I can cope tears run down my face knowing she never got to live the life she wanted she had dreams that I wanted to see her fulfill... Waking up without you asking us to please get milk because we are out so you can have cereal. Pancakes on Sunday mornings. Dancing to your music and having you tell me, " don't do that mom." "Can I go to 7'11 to get a Mt. Dew ?" "Can I go to Skate City?" "Will you bring dinner up to me?" Getting excited and planning for the next HellScream event. Trips to Zeezos to look at costumes. Trips to Yo-Yogurt to help cheer you. Listening to your beautiful voice singing to your favorite songs. Family game nights. Family movie nights. Make-up everywhere. Random hugs just because I LOVE YOU. Random hugs from you and hearing you say, "I love you momma." I remind you, "your dad would like hugs too!" Getting ready for Comic Con events. "What do you think of this idea ? " as you create another face make-up idea. Reminding you to reach out to your brothers and sisters because they all love you too. I could keep going. I miss you and will always love you Harleigh Simpson. I wish you peace, happiness and everlasting love. May your love continue to brighten every path that you take wherever you are now.
