Obituary of Ernest "Ray" Kennedy

Ray lived a life of contentment. It was the little things in life that brought him joy. His godly example of contentment is a living legacy for his family. He was a kind, noble, and considerate man. The ease and peace others felt when they were in his presence was a testimony of God's grace and purpose the Lord had for his life. While others strove for riches and notoriety, Ray found deep and meaningful contentment in his relationship with Jesus Christ. He was patient, kind, not envious, and never boasted. He was not easily angered, and quick to forgive. He always protected, always trusted, always hoped, and always persevered. He honored his wife with love and respect, and their marriage was a living example of Christ's love for the Church. Through all sixty-two years of marriage, Ray and Virginia taught everyone what true love looks like. Ray is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Virginia; daughters, Jenny Kennedy, Sandra (Taryn) Reynolds, and Susan (Greg) Mills; grandchildren, Danielle Svenby, Caleb (Sadie) Mills, Trey Reynolds, Rebekah Svenby, Olivia Mills, Haley Mills and Devin Reynolds; great-grandchildren, Sterling Svenby and Nora Mills.
