Obituary of MSgt. Ted L. Costello, USAF,
Ted L. Costello, age 71, was called home to dance with Jesus on Saturday, February 17, 2018.He was born on April 18, 1946 in Grand Junction, Colorado to Staffie (Floryancic) and Stanley Costello.Ted graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1964, received his Bachelor's in Business Administration in 1996 at National College, and then his Master's Degree from Colorado Christian University in Colorado Springs in 2000. Ted served twenty-one years in the United States Air Force and retired in 1989 as a Master Sergeant. He would then retire from General Nutrition Center after seventeen years.He married Wendy Ann Goldberg on February 3, 1973 at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Scott Kastelic and Jennifer Costello. Ted was a very wise man with an endearing sense of wit and humor, who always enjoyed telling a funny story. He loved gardening, cooking, and taking long walks. Ted also enjoyed photography, barbeques, the Denver Broncos, and joked about saber tooth chipmunks.He is survived by his wife, Wendy; son, MAJ Scott (Elizabeth) Kastelic, U.S. Army, (Ret.); his daughter, Jennifer; his brother, Jack (Carla) Costello; sister, Carol Bryant; and his grandchildren, Jordyn, Stephanie, and Jonathon Kastelic. A Celebration of Ted's Life will be held at 10:59AM, Monday, February 26, 2018 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917, with full military honors. The family requests that you please wear purple or red in honor of Ted.Graveside Service, 11:01AM, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in Ted's memory be made to the Alzheimer's Association, http://act.alz.org/site/TR?fr_id=11096&pg=personal&px=14441386Blessed be his memory.
