Obituary of Andy Joe Kosley

Andy Kosley, also known affectionately as Papa Bear, sorrowfully passed away in his home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Easter Sunday Morning, April 1, 2018 at the age of 63.Andy Joe Kosley was born on October 17, 1954 and grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He graduated from Wasson High School in 1972 and then University of Phoenix with a degree in Business.�He was a salesman and owned his own business of Pikes Peak Media. He loved his family and was totally a people person. He enjoyed the company of others.Andy married his sweet "Mildred", Susan Jeanette O'Nan on both of their birthdays, (October 17th) in 1982 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. He loved his stepson, Chad Allgood. He and Chad worked together at Pikes Peak Media and he enjoyed being his own boss.Andy was a great armchair coach for the Broncos and Rockies, golf, bowling, and hockey. Before his health deteriorated, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, softball, golf, and skiing. He loved traveling with his wife, and in later years, his grandkids. He and his brother-in-law, Kelly, were avid fans of March Madness. He enjoyed watching all sports and often hosted Super Bowl parties. He was proud to be a member of the 1972 Wasson High School AAA Colorado State Football Championship Team as a senior in high school. He bowled a perfect score game at a Colorado State Bowling Championship.Friends and family will remember his abounding generosity, as he was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back, but also would tell you the proper way you should wear it. �:) Andy was stubborn out of love, wanting to be sure everyone he cared about never wanted for anything. Although he adored his nieces and nephews, the sun rose and set with his two granddaughters. He would move mountains for them. Charlotte and Savannah Allgood were the light of his life. He cherished every minute he spent with his Godchildren and his grandchildren. He loved being "Papa Bear". Andy loved to play and had a wonderful sense of humor. He spoke fluent "Donald Duck" and he loved to laugh! He loved being with Savannah because they both were "forgetters, messers, spillers and adventuresome!". �Andy Kosley was a support crew member for the Colorado Range Riders for many years. His hobbies included golf and adventure outings with his grandchildren. Although he did not attend church regularly, his Christian upbringing was important to him. He was encouraging to others to better themselves through education or a change of job if needed. He went above and beyond for his granddaughters. He was always ready to help with purchases/donations for any school or community project or Boy Scouts or Girl Scout cookies. He was convinced one day he would win the lottery and spread that money to everyone!Andy is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Susan Jeanette Kosley and her son, Chad Allgood. His parents are Ray and Chris Kosley. Andy worked for his dad at Ray Ko Supply for many years. He had two sisters, Cindy Henry and Becky Kosley. He was a brother-in-law to Kelly (Julie) O'Nan from Henderson, Kentucky, the late Gary (Kathy) O'Nan from Mayfield, Kentucky, and Von (Jennifer) O'Nan from San Francisco, California.His nieces and nephews are Meg and Mitch Holmes, and their children, Jack and Everett, Ellen O'Nan, Reece and Elizabeth O'Nan, Madison O'Nan, Noah O'Nan, Nicholas Henry, Daniel (Mandy) Henry, and Sarah (Justin) Teitelbaum. He loved being Godfather to Nicholas and Daniel Henry, Sarah Teitelbaum, Lisa Kosley, and Steven Tucker.
