Obituary of Wanda Lorraine Taylor

Wanda L. Taylor, October 19, 1928, passed away April 8, 2018 at her assisted living facility.Wanda was married to Robert L. Taylor on March 21, 1947, and they were married for forty-five years. Wanda worked in the research lab at Holly Sugar in Brawley, California for many years and also decorated wedding cakes on the side. Wanda and her family moved to Broken Bow, Oklahoma in 1977 where she was in the commercial poultry business for Tyson until she retired in 1996. Wanda enjoyed sewing, painting and square dancing.Wanda is survived by her son, Robert (Sue) Taylor; grandson, Robert Taylor; granddaughter, Brooklynn Taylor; sister, Faye Hamilton; brother, Earnie Wheeler and many nieces and nephews.Wanda is preceded in death by her late husband, Bob Taylor; son, David Taylor; parents, Gus and Tinnie Wheeler; brothers, Cleo and Jay Wheeler; and sisters, Myrtle Letchworth, Novie Bonine, Wyota Gash, Ruth Herren, and Lodell "Tootsie" Reed.The family would like to thank Brookdale Hospice for their exceptional care of Wanda, especially her nurse, Jennifer. We would also like to thank the Staff at Brookdale Vista Grande for the compassionate care shown to Wanda while she was in their care.
