Obituary of SSgt Richard "Rich" W. Sullivan, U.S. Army
Richard Sullivan was born April 4, 1945 to Walter and Dorothy (Greene) Sullivan in Spencer, Iowa. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1963 and then joined the U.S. Army with numerous assignments overseas with Greece being his favorite.After retiring from the U.S. Army he pursued Property Management and enjoyed his trips to Mexico.Rich married Patricia "Pat" Butler in 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 40 years.He passed away comfortably in his home surrounded by his wife; Pat, his best friend from Las Vegas; Lloyd Robinson, and his Broncos memorabilia.He is preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" (Georganna) Sullivan.Rich is survived by his loving wife; Pat, children; Michele Thomas, Donna (Jonathan) Woods and Ric (Kumi) Verdier, step-sons; Mike (Corrie) Butler and Brian (Paula) Butler, grandchildren; Ashley, Angel, Carlie III, Jordan, Jake, Rachel, Brian Jr., and Emma, and great grandchildren; Carlie IV, Michael III, Jakobe and Kyler; brother, Michael "Mike" (Babe) Sullivan.Graveside Service, 2:30PM, Monday, April 30, 2018, Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.Donations in Rich's memory can be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America Mountain States Chapter, 12200 East Iliff Avenue, Suite 107, Aurora, Colorado 80014 or HonorBound Foundation Inc., PO Box 2465, Darien, Connecticut 06820.
