Obituary of David George Fletcher
David George Fletcher, age 67, went to be with his Lord on Monday, May 7, 2018 at his home in Colorado Springs.David was born on September 24, 1950 in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Dean and Luella (Wick) Fletcher. He lived in Sandusky until the age of 14, when his family moved to Millington, Tennessee. After high school, David began working as a machinist at Chicago Bridge & Iron. Later in life, David returned to school and obtained a degree in Accounting from Memphis State University in August, 1984. In November, 1984 David went to work as an auditor for the Department of Defense. David married Tina Aldinger on July 9, 1995 in Glendive, Montana. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Lakewood, Colorado where they proudly welcomed baby girl Christina in 1998. The Fletcher's also lived in Memphis and Colorado Springs where David retired from Federal Service in 2012. After retiring, David enjoyed volunteer work as a Small Business Mentor with SCORE. He also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and crossword puzzles.David is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Tina, and one daughter, Christina Fletcher of Colorado Springs; one sister, Kathy Hughes of Bakersfield, California; and one brother, Rick Fletcher of Bakersfield, California. We will always carry David's memory in our hearts, and he will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Friday, May 18, 2018, St. Michael the Archangel Episcopal Church, 7400 Tudor Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80919. Reverend Peter Floyd will be officiating.
