Obituary of TSgt Archie David Thomas, USAF

All mankind is of one Author, and is one Volume, when one man dies, one chapter, is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be translated. On November 25, 1943, a baby boy was born to the late Brother Andrew Thomas and the late Sister Annie Mae Timmons Thomas. Seventy-four years of a useful life ended May 9, 2018, when Archie Thomas was called from this earthly scene. It is God's will that the laborers shall sleep. Let the tired laborers be encouraged; there is time to rest.Let the mourners be comforted. Your loved one who served the Lord and who served his neighbors is just sleeping and shall awake to newness of life.God said, "I have set before you life and death." Archie chose life and accepted Christ as his advocator. With his newness of salvation, he became a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church until the beckoning call of God.Archie graduated from Central Consolidated High School, Dubberly, Louisiana in 1964. After completing high school Archie enlisted with the United States Air Force and retired after twenty-two years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Annie Mae Thomas, two sisters; Mary Dell and Mary Ann Thomas, three brothers; Jesse L. Thomas, Joseph Thomas and David Earl Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory a lovely daughter, Natanja Thomas, sisters; Eura Thomas of DeRidder, Louisiana, Rosie Duty, of Minden, Louisiana, Betty Hill of Beaumont, Texas and a special sister Mary F. Thomas of Houston, Texas. Five grandchildren of Colorado Springs, Colorado; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a special nephew Arnette Thomas from Colorado Springs, Colorado, cousins and a special cousin Timothy Thomas from Vallejo, California along with many friends. His trustworthiness, smiling face and sharing spirit will truly be missed by family and friends.Acknowledgment:A friend loveth at all times, when you heard of our loss you came to us from your own place~you made a point to come to mourn with us and to comfort us with words, cards, food and many other numerous kind acts.Your presence here today is a living testament to the goodness and kindness of the glory of our God.We are sending you our blessing in the name of Jesus for your thoughtfulness.Thank You,The Archie Thomas Family Events Visitation Saturday, May 26, 2018 2:00PM - 4:00PM The Springs Funeral Services 3115 East Platte Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Phone: 719-207-8855 Funeral Service Sunday, May 27, 2018 2:00PM The Springs Funeral Services 3115 East Platte Avenue Colorado Springs, CO 80909 Phone: 719-207-8855
