Obituary of David Leroy Ortega, Jr.

David Leroy Ortega, Jr. was born November 1, 1982 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, the son of David Leroy Ortega, Sr. and Diana Lynn (Martinez) Ortega. He died at his home May 31, 2018 at the age of 35.David is a 2001 graduate of Sand Creek High School. After high school he became a journeyman sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #9. He was an avid outdoors man and loved fishing. He took great pride and joy in weight lifting. He also enjoyed basketball and was a fan of the Broncos. David had a heart of gold and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was known for his joking and as a prankster.David leaves to remember him, his mother, Diana Ortega; his father, David Ortega, Sr.; his sister, Michelle (Andrew) Mesa; his nephew whom he adored, A.J.
