Obituary of Virgil Anthony Valdez

Virgil Anthony Valdez, 81, died on June 29, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.He was born on May 10, 1937 to Eutemio and Victoria P. (Valdes) Valdez in Colorado.Virgil was a meat cutter by trade, his second career was as a Golf Course Marshall at Patty Jewett Municipal Golf Course for twenty years.Virgil was known for his great sense of humor and loving adoration for his family. He loved to dance and listen to 1950's music and Country music. He was passionate about golf, often enjoying a cocktail at the 19th hole. Virgil enjoyed spending many hours working on his yard and admiring it, and he loved Sunday Football if the Bronco's were playing. Virgil also enjoyed the Pueblo Senior Social Club and loved a good social card game.Virgil was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Lillian E. Valdez (Madrid); his mother, Victoria P.�Valdez; and beloved brother, Jay U. Valdez.�He is survived by his son, Kevin (Laurie) Valdez; daughter, Cheryl (Peggy Hodges) Valdez; three granddaughters, Miranda (Irving) Ramos, Dakota (Jevon) Butler, and Kris Silvers; and two great-granddaughters, Reylina Ramos and Emalynn Trathen.
