Obituary of Josephine Annunziata T. Morgan Alden

Born to Frank and Rosa (Biondini) Micci in Memphis, Tennessee on August 11, 1919, Josephine moved to the west side of Colorado Springs at the age of two and considered herself a native.As a student, she attended Buena Vista, West Junior and Colorado Springs High School, graduating in 1936. A member of Sacred Heart Parish for 90 years, and always a member in her heart, she attended St. Peter, Monument and St. Michael, Calhan the last seven years of her life.Jo married John Morgan in 1942, was widowed in 1947, married Richard "Al" Alden in 1953 and was widowed again in 1996. She loved the Colorado outdoors, experiencing it through hiking, snow-skiing, snow shoeing and camping. A very outgoing person, faith, family and friends meant the world to her. Jo will always be remembered for her beautiful blue eyes, sweet, loving personality and engaging smile.She is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and brothers, Vince, Lou, and Matt Micci; her sisters, Ann Christy and Frances Schroeder; and a daughter, Carlene Kay Alden.Survivors include daughters, Franki (Bill) Lang, Joan (Joe) Martinez, and Lynn (Mike) Alsdorf; and son, Doug (Susie Johnson) Alden; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
