Obituary of Therese Ann Cornell

Therese Ann Cornell, 91, passed away peacefully with her husband of 67 years, Julian "Doc" Cornell by her side on July 24, 2018 in Colorado Springs.Born January 19, 1927 in Schuylerville, New York, her hometown forever in her heart.� Therese certainly enjoyed a fulfilling life of happiness and love with her husband, family and friends. Her beautiful smile would always brighten up any occasion.Therese worked for "The GE" in Schenectady, New York as an administrative assistant.�In Colorado Springs, Colorado she worked many years for Walter Drake, she also work at the dog track as a cashier.� She enjoyed working for her family and making friends along the way.Throughout her life, Therese enjoyed dancing, music, camping and traveling coast to coast with her husband in their Winnebago motor home. She also was a fantastic cook and her delicious New York McIntosh apple pies were simply THE best.She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Harold and Lauretta (McCarty) Cormie; sisters, Jane (Joseph) Willette, Marie (Don) Young, Marilyn (Jim) Mitchell and Joyce Tynan.Survived by her husband, Julian D. Cornell,�married in January 1951. She was a devoted military spouse, a caring mother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.Children: Lynn Cornell, Stephanie�(Dave)�Boyle, Laurie Cornell, Larry�(Gail)�Cornell and Scott�(Melanie)�Cornell.Grandchildren: Amy (Jim) Lindquist, Jason (Emily) Boyle, Tyler Cornell, Kaleb Cornell, Zack Cornell, Julianne Cornell and Seth Cornell.Great grandchildren: Hailey Boyle, Edwin Lindquist, Nora Lindquist and Jason Boyle Jr.Brother-in-law: Frank Tynan of Saratoga Springs, New YorkShe also had many nieces (notably Liz Tynan), nephews and numerous friends that she loved very much.A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.Inurnment at Pikes Peak National Cemetery upon completion.
