Byron Allen Spencer passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018.�������� He was born to Myron and Genevia Spencer on June 29, 1977 in Gallup, New Mexico.� He was a Din� warrior who was born into Dzi t 'ahnii (Mountain Cove Clan) born for Kinyaa'�anii (Towering House Clan).� His maternal grandmother was Dzi t 'ahnii (Mountain Cove Clan) born for T '�gi (Zia Weaver Clan), his maternal grandfather was T�chii'nii (Red Running Into the Water People) born for Haltsooi (Meadow People Clan). His paternal grandmother was Kinyaa'�anii (Towering House Clan) born for Naakai dine'� (Mexican Clan), his paternal grandfather was Dzi t 'ahnii (Mountain Cove Clan) born for Tsi'naajinii (Black Streak Wood People Clan).Byron was a veteran, serving ten years in the United States Navy. He completed two tours in Iraq with 1st Platoon, Company E, 2d battalion, 7th Marines where he treated numerous Iraqi civilians and fellow comrades with compassion throughout operations in the city of Fallujah. He had lived in Washington State, Nevada and recently moved to Colorado Springs as a HVAC technician.When he wasn't working he enjoyed watching movies, going bowling, playing video games, working on cars and cheering on his favorite sports teams; LA Dodgers, Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners, and the Colorado Avalanche.He is preceded in death by his mother, Genevia Spencer; his maternal grandparents, Leo and Marie Willie; and his paternal grandparents, Tom Spencer and Mary Teller.He is survived by his daughters, Vanessa and Alyssa Spencer; two brothers, Gerald and Bill; his sister, Shauna; his father, Myron; and his maternal grandfather, Lem Begay.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Friday, August 17, 2018, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
