Obituary of Alan Bernard Dale Generally

Alan Bernard Dale Generally was born on November 1, 1956, and left this earth on August 14, 2018. Alan was the first born son to the union of Bernard and Winifred Generally, followed by his brother David (Ruthie) Generally. Both parents, his step-mother Iris Generally, infant sister Brenda Generally, and brother Michael Clark precede him in death.His mother Winifred brought four children into this union, brothers, Kenneth (Leslie) Clark, Harold (Anita) Clark, Michael Clark (deceased); and sister, Kathy Clark.In 1980 Alan married Tina (Valdez) Generally. Tina brought into this union a child, Jamie Valdez, whom Alan raised as his own son. On August 23, 1981 they were blessed with a son, Dale Martin (Lindsay) Generally.Alan has two granddaughters, Alyssa (Nicholas "Nick") Schecter and Darrian Valdez. He has two grandsons, Devon and Ethan Generally; and has three great-grandchildren, Atreyu and Novaleigh Schecter, and Ezekiel Garcia.Alan is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.Alan chose to be Dad to niece, Bonnie (Jason) Karle and grandpa to their children, Tony, Ray, Rick, and Jenna Lynn.Alan grew up in the Colorado Springs area until moving to Arizona to attend college. He moved back to Colorado Springs in 1979. After his marriage, Alan and his family lived in Pueblo, Colorado where he worked as an architectural draftsman until the divorce in 2012, at which time he moved back to Colorado Springs. He remained in Colorado Springs until his death.Alan will be greatly missed not only by his loving family, but also by the many friends he made throughout his life. He will be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his great passion for horses, and anything related to "cowboys". He will also be remembered for his love of camping with his sons, Dale and Jamie, and taking long trips to places like Disney World, Sea World, Disney Land, The Great Sand Dunes, and many other places too numerous to list.Alan loved kids and they loved him: his sons, granddaughters and grandsons, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many of Jamie and Dale's friends. His family home always inhabited at least two or more extra kids. Jamie and Dale's friends referred to him as a "Cool Dude" and thought of him as a "Nice Guy".Alan will be missed for many different reasons, and each of us has our own memories of him.
