Obituary of Phyllis Coleen Irsik

Phyllis Coleen Irsik, age 92, passed peacefully on August 20, 2018 and entered Heaven's gates surrounded by family.Phyllis was born on a farm in Ford, Kansas on January 2, 1926 to Baker Charles and Mable Dale Scott. Phyllis was the youngest of seven with three sisters and three brothers: June Grey, Reva Schoonover, Merle Scott, Eugene Scott, Mervin Scott and Welda Frey of Kansas.On December 1, 1947, Phyllis married the love of her life, Edward Irsik, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her eight children, Sharon (Jerry) Jones, Mary (Ray) Sherman, Sandy (Gerry) Walters, Mark (Genette) Irsik, Jimmie (Candise) Irsik, David (Stephanie) Irsik, Carolyn (Tony) Rehl and Theresa (Bruce) Couture; and her sister, Welda Frey. She was the grandmother of twenty-one, great-grandmother of thirty-five and great-great-grandmother of two. She and Ed leave behind a legacy of 110 family members.Phyllis loved her family, dancing, playing cards and windmills - a reminder of her days on the farm.
