Obituary of Esther Ivalee Redington

Esther Ivalee (Baskett) Redington of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80, passed on Wednesday, August 23, 2018.She was a Life Member of the Colorado Rifle Club, American Legion Auxillary, The Retired Enlisted Association Auxillary. She was a member of The Optimist. She was a strong advocate of volunteerism. She attended a weekly Ladies Bible Study group.Esther would help in the stat office for the smallbore prone matches at the Colorado Rifle Club scoring targets and in the past she would do the same at the Olympic Training Center for the American Legion National Junior Matches, she also volunteered with the JROTC at Widefield High School marksmanship program. She volunteered at Washington Elementary which later was transferred to West Elementary School. Esther had a witty sense of humor that would draw people to her and a caring attitude towards everyone she met. She was always giving help to anyone that asked, and an infectious smile that would brighten your day.She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Beulah Baskett; her husband, Francis; and her brother, Marvin Baskett. Esther is survived by her children, Scott Redington and Andrea (Tony) Caldwell; her sister, Leatha Moore of Kentucky; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
