Obituary of Earl Lawrance Hecker

Earl L. Hecker, 36, of Cascade, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly, and entered our heavenly Father's kingdom on August 24, 2018. He was born December 23, 1981, in Sacramento, California, the son of Deborah Bellucci (deceased). He graduated from Yerington High School in 2000, where he met Mary, and in 2002, they had their first of three beautiful children who he loved, cherished and cared for with all his heart. Earl was an excellent father. Earl was a vet who honorably served his country as an Army Cavalry Scout during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005 through 2006, and his second tour was 2008 through 2009. As a young man, Earl discovered his gift and passion for fishing. As a father, he shared his gift with his three children. Blane, Tanner and Addi who knew what going fishing meant before they knew how to walk. Earl taught Blane, Tanner and Addi respect for family, friends and the outdoors. Earl became a highly known, experienced, and respected fly-fishing guide at Angler's Covey, where he met soul mate, Rachel Leinweber.As a father, boyfriend and partner, brother, friend and guide, Earl was driven by love, honor, integrity, gratitude and passion. Earl was loved unconditionally by his children, Rachel and family. His heart was filled with love, as he stated many times, "I have the best life and kids a father could ever want". He adapted to life changes with a strong faith in God, and he believed that "fishing is a kind of therapy. We can't take it for granted. I choose to live life lightly. I choose to live it with gratitude."Earl is survived by his three wonderful children; Blane (15), Tanner Frank (14), and Addison "Addi" Elise Hecker (5); their mother, Mary Hecker LaVergne; Earl's long-term girlfriend, Rachel Leinweber; her twin brother, Jon; Rachel's mother, Becky; father, David; his nephews, Trace Stewart, Jacob Aylward and Amen Aylward; and sister, April Stewart; niece and nephew, Leann and Jordan Evert. Earl is also survived by his loving second family; Carmie and Pat Hansen; brothers, Frank and Ben Knighton; sisters, Karlie Callahan, Heather Schnitz, and Hannah Gilliard.Funeral Service, 10:00AM, Friday, September 7, 2018 The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.
