Obituary of Belinda Lou Severson

Belinda Severson, 65, of Ellicott, Colorado entered Heaven's gates on Friday, August 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on July 16, 1953 at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.Belinda was stationed in several states with her brothers and father as her father was a Chief Warrant Officer in the United States Air Force. He retired in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1963 where Belinda made her forever home. She graduated from Wasson High School in 1971 and went on to be a Cocktail Coordinator for 33 years. She later retired and moved home to care for her father until his death in June of 2018.Belinda was a loving and proud mother & grandmother who had a passion for reading. She could read an entire novel in one day and could have opened her own library with her collection of books. She took pride and joy in helping her family and friends in any way she could and had a wonderful sense of humor. She truly enjoyed spending time sitting on the family porch swing watching her grandson play and visiting with family and friends. Also took great pleasure in having soup dates with her grandson Mason, also known as her boy at The Black Eyed Pea.Belinda is proceeded in death by her parents, Palmer and June Severson; brother, Dan Severson; grandparents, Eddie A. & Belinda Syverson; son, Troy Denver Severson; and nephew, Jeremy Donald Severson.She is survived by her daughter, Tiffany; grandson, Mason; brother, Eddie (Deb) Severson of Thief River Falls, Minnesota; two nieces, Amanda (Keith) and Amber; great-nephew, Karson; and two great-nieces, Kiana and Callie.Funeral Service, 11:00AM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.Graveside Service, 1:00PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2018, Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
