Obituary of SFC Carlos Dalton Fisher, U.S. Army

Carlos "Charlie" Dalton Fisher died peacefully with his family by his side on September 10, 2018 in Colorado Springs. Charlie was born to the late Carl and Rissie Fisher March 12, 1933 in Dayton, Tennessee.Charlie was drafted into the Army and met "Heidi", the love of his life, in Germany. Charlie and Heidi married while he was stationed in Nurnberg, Germany. Charlie loved Germany and spent fourteen years of his military career there. While serving in the Army Charlie was stationed in Korea and was also a Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Austrian Enzian Club for many years and TREA (The Retired Enlisted Association). Charlie and Heidi lived in Killeen, Texas for twenty-eight years where he retired. In 2000 they decided to move to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Charlie loved life, his family, friends, fishing, bowling, stamps, and music. In 2011 Charlie started to have serious health problems and his quality of life was dramatically diminished. Charlie is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Fisher; two daughters, Connie Hasselman and Debra Nitchals; six grandchildren, Vincent Maggio, Christina Maggio, Patricia (Harry) Small, Joseph Maggio, Stephanie (Keith) Butler, and Katherine (Daniel) May; as well as four great-grandchildren.
