Obituary of Kiegan Kalai Estes

Kiegan Kalai Estes, a Senior at Palmer High School, died in her sleep after a long battle with Epilepsy. She was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, great-granddaughter and friend. She was in the Special Education Program and worked in the coffee shop at Palmer. She loved dogs, cats and "Hello Kitty".Kiegan was born on October 5, 2000 in Colorado Springs to Mark Estes and Jodi Barnett. Her family moved to Arizona for a while and soon returned to Colorado Springs.Kiegan attended Stetson Elementary School, Rudy Elementary School, Sabin Junior High School and Palmer High School.She was a patriotic person who loved swimming and horseback riding, even though she was not supposed to do these things with her illness. She will be best remembered for her positive outlook on life and her loving nature and personality.Preceding her to Heaven were her grandpas, Ronald Barnett and John W. Estes, Jr.She is survived by her dad, Mark Estes; her mom, Jodi Barnett Gallegos; her brothers, Cole Estes, Abraham Estes and Corey Skinner; her sister, Taylor Ivy; her grandmas, Sophia Estes and Karen Barnett; and her great-grandma, Violia Filler.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Saturday, September 22, 2018, Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80917.
