Obituary of James Harmon Parker, Jr.
James Harmon Parker, Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away at his home on September 19, 2018, at the age of 49. Jim was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, May 19, 1969, to James and Janis "Jan" Parker.He graduated from Mitchell High School and Colorado Technical University with a BS degree in Computer Science.Jim was an accomplished guitarist and loved music, especially Aerosmith. He was very creative and made beautiful photo books for his grandnieces, handmade paper cards, and calligraphy. He had a passion for nature and loved working in his yard. He also enjoyed collecting antiques and loved sports cars. His kindness will forever be cherished by all who knew him.Jim is survived by his parents, James and Jan Parker of Colorado Springs; sister, Kelley (Scott) Goodwin of Southern California; nephew, Jeremiah (Elizabeth) Goodwin and their children, Savannah, Makaylah and Alannah; Uncle John (Aunt Betty) Parker and cousin Carin Knaggs of Oshkosh, Wisconsin; Aunt Jane (Uncle Harold) Brooks of Rhinelander, Wisconsin; and Aunt Joyce Grisar of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.Memorial Service, 10:00AM, Saturday, October 6, 2018, The Springs Funeral Services-North, 6575 Oakwood Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80923.Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity that Jim valued.
