Obituary of Stephen Richard Kidd
Stephen Richard Kidd, 58, passed away on October 6, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was a kind and gentle soul and a devoted husband.Stephen was born on December 9, 1959 in Houston, Texas. Stephen was adopted into the Kidd family at 6 months old by O.A. and Mary Jo Kidd. He grew up in Conroe, Texas. After high school Stephen joined the U.S. Navy and served as a machinist mate. When he was done serving his time, he returned home to marry his high school sweetheart, Lorri Heavin, and they had a baby girl they named Tia Marie. He enrolled in Video Technical Institute and earned an A.A. degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. After some time he divorced and moved to Simi Valley, California.Once Stephen met Martha and her children, Amber, Courtney, and Jasmine, he fell in love. Martha and Stephen were married on August 9, 2002 in Plymouth, Massachusetts. He was a beloved husband and partner to Martha. They lived together for twenty years, were married for sixteen years, and Stephen played an important role in raising his stepchildren. He was a loving and faithful husband as well as loving, proud, and stable father. Stephen was also an amazing PawPaw to his grandchildren. He loved his grandchildren dearly and loved spending time with them.Stephen is survived by his wife, Martha; daughter, Tia Marie Fagan; three stepdaughters, Amber Brake, Courtney, and Jasmine (Bo Yang) Whigham; five grandchildren, Haley Marie Leblanc, Nathan, Ava Elise Fagan, Aria Sky Fagan, Trinity Ross, and Helena Yang; brother, Scott (Shannon) Kidd; nephew, Conner; niece, Lauren; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Brake and Nancy Leigh (William Engram) Brake.Although Stephen was a quiet man, he had a heart of gold. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by family and friends. We wish you the sweetest peace.
