Obituary of 1SG Edward McLaughlin, U.S. Army,

1SG Edward McLaughlin, U.S. Army, (Ret.) entered in to the arms of our Lord on October 19, 2018. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love and energy of his children. Born in Crestview, Florida on January 15, 1931 to Samuel and Secelenar McLaughlin, Edward led a blessed and fulfilling life. He served twenty-two years with the U.S. Army with three honorable tours in Vietnam. Ed also proudly served his community as a Deputy with the Sheriff's Office and Marshal for Colorado Springs Police Department for over twenty years. During his time in the Army, he earned several prestigious awards of recognition; including the Air Medal award for Meritorious Achievement in aerial flight, an Army Commendation Medal, an Oak Leaf Cluster and�four�Bronze Star Medals in honor of his heroic achievements, just to name a few.Edward, known as "Mack", enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports, cooking and good scotch. He was dedicated to his country, his community and his family. Ed was respected as a father, a friend and a war hero.
