Obituary of James Daniel Cain
It is with great sadness that the family of James Daniel Cain, known to his friends as JD, announces his passing on Thursday, October 25, 2018, after a brief illness. He was 81 years old. JD, a Nebraska native, served twenty-two years in the Air Force as a flight engineer on C-130s, including tours in Vietnam. He thereafter worked as a mail carrier for another twenty-two years. JD enjoyed country music, the Dallas Cowboys, hunting, fishing, and most of all, his family. He had many friends, for whom he would do most anything if they were in need.He is preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Daniel, Joe, Bill, Bob, and Ron; and sisters, Margaret, Eleanor, Frances, and Elaine.JD will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost sixty-two years, Deloris (Schafer); and his children, Jaymie Dawn Cain-Davis, Teresa Jo Cain, Deanne Cain (Fred) Fischlein and James Daniel (Kimi) Cain, Jr. JD will also be adoringly remembered by his grandchildren, Jessica (Braden) Garrett, Anjelica (Michael) Diaz, Anja Fischlein, Cozette Kale, Lara Fischlein, Frank McNabb, Natasha (Kyle) Dowdall, Marty (Dallas) Fischlein, Forrest Garrison, Cheyenne (Evan) Finch, Atticus Cain and Zoey Cain; and four great grandchildren, Chaya, Sophie, Ellie, and Alice.
