Obituary of Sharon Kay Williams

It is with sadness that the family of Sharon Kay Borden announce her passing on October 31, 2018. Sharon was born in Levelland, Texas to W.L. and Velta Borden on October 23, 1948. She attended school in Mineral Wells and graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1965. On July 4, 1965 she married Richard "Carl" Watson. Carl and Sharon had three children together, Dee, Chris and Amy. Sharon remarried Robert "Mike" Williams and Mike also had three children, Vicki, Roy and Rob. Early in their marriage, Mike and Sharon had fun going places where they could dance to Country music and do a little Two-Step. Mike and Sharon raised their blended family in the Colorado Springs area with many of the children graduating from Ellicott High School. Family hobbies included hunting and participating in rodeo events. The children were involved in many of the sports that the school offered and Mike and Sharon liked going to their sporting events. Sharon's oldest daughter, Dee, and her children have an extra special bond with her as they have lived together since Dee's children, Branon, Nick and Shelby were toddlers. This allowed for many wonderful memories for all them. Sharon enjoyed going to their sporting events when she was able to attend. Her health challenges and diabetes limited her activity. Sharon enjoyed being a homemaker and caring for several of her grandchildren in her own home. She was a reserved woman and being from Texas, she was always ready to have a pleasant Southern style conversation. Sharon loved reading and driving until her vision made it difficult for her to do these things. She liked making bread and trying new food. In the recent past, Sharon got a kick out of listening to old country music while playing Bingo on her new GrandPad (iPad). She will be remembered lovingly by those who knew her best and shared their life with hers so closely. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, W.L. and Velta Borden; family members, Betty Borden, Bobby Borden, Barbara Eastep, Terry Borden, Vicki Endicott and Jaclyn Williams. She will be remembered by her sister-in-law, Judy Borden; and her many children and grandchildren, Dee (Dean), Chris (Mary), Amy, Roy (Alberta) and Rob (Sandy), Audra, Branon, Nick, Shelby, Justin (Annemarie), Faith, Derek, Jacob, MaKena, Michael, Cody, Robert Michael, Eric, Matthew and John-Paul.
