Obituary of Brenna Leigh Elmore

Brenna Leigh Elmore, 38, died on November 17, 2018 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.�She was born on December 26, 1979 to Dale and Shelley Miller in Holbrook, Arizona.Brenna attended first grade through her junior year in Salida Schools, and she graduated from Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs, where she received honors as a volleyball player.� Brenna graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in education. She taught social studies for seven years at Skyview Middle School where she was also a teacher mentor and team leader.Brenna was married to Brian Elmore from 2009 to 2014, and she took a break from education to devote her time and energy to her marriage and her son, Deaglan.Brenna returned to education in 2015 when she began teaching social studies at Falcon Middle School.� After two years, she took the opportunity to utilize her Masters in Library Science to help develop the library and EdTech program at Bennett Ranch Elementary School, which opened in the fall of 2018.Along with being a passionate educator who worked tirelessly to support her students, Brenna was a loving mother, a devoted daughter and sister, and a supportive friend.� Her beautiful smile would light up a room, and she remained positive even in the most difficult situations. While she had many hobbies like photography and riding horses, those she loved were most important to her, especially Deaglan.� Her love and spirit inspired those who met her and created lifelong friendships for those who had the privilege to be her friend.Brenna is preceded in death by her brother, Jason and her grandfather, Don Denoyer.� She is survived by her parents, Dale and Shelley Miller; her sister, Jodi Miller; and her maternal grandmother, Pauline Golden.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4125 Constitution Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909Contributions in Brenna's memory can be made to the Brenna Leigh Elmore Memorial Fund at any Wells Fargo Bank.
