I remember being at your house for everything family! When we first moved to Colorado my earliest memeory is of being at your house for Christmas. The house was always full of people and music and amazing food. I loved being there and going downstairs to hang out and sit on that awesome recliner. You always had a smile and a hug for everyone. No one felt left out or alone. You and your infectious smile will forever be a memory I'll cherish. Lots of love to you always.

My heart goes out to the family of such an amazing woman. Sonny's laughter or giggle was so contagious, you couldn't help but laugh or smile with her. I can't remember a time that she didn't show the love and acceptance to anyone who entered her home. She also had this attitude of "Oh Well" which was refreshing when things were not going according to plans, and that sweet and accepting attitude allows others to laugh along with her and reminded us that life should not be taken so seriously. She was a remarkable woman, with so much love and joy that it seemed to spill over to all those who came into contact with her. Her sweet smile was enough to cause anyone in the room to forget their problems and smile along with her. Sonny will be dearly missed, but I am sure that she is in the presence of the Lord and all her loved ones that have gone before her, spreading her unique style of love and laughter all those around her. May I one day have the privilege and honor of spending time with you again…until then, May God watch over those you have left behind until we are reunited with you once again.

Sunny, you will be missed by so many. We will miss your happy smile, your warmth, and your welcoming nature. It was always a joy to sit and chat with you when we came to visit. I met you later in life, but have heard countless stories of all that you did for others. Your life was full of purpose and touched many. Thank you for being you. Until we meet again... God Bless, Sean, Lori , Adrienne, Cole, and Tye

It is with sadness I have to say goodbye to such a wonderful and giving person. Sunny was a ray of sunshine as her nickname implied, always welcoming friends and family alike with a warm smile and infectious laugh. We looked forward to Christmas Eve parties, and dinners with family on special occasions. She always made us feel welcomed, including us as part of her family. She was an amazing lady with a servant's heart, always caring for those in need, whether it was delivering meals or helping friends, she was always there. However, life doesn't end when we leave here, we begin a new life with our Savior Jesus. So I don't want to say goodbye because that is forever, but rather until we meet again.

Sunny was such a beautiful person. I loved her smile, and it seemed like she was smiling every time I saw her. The thing I remember the most about Sunny is how much she gave of herself. It's something I really respected and admired about her. She seemed to always be doing something for someone, picking up something for someone, delivering food to others, providing a home or just a place to stay for others. I think it made her happy when she could help make someone else's life a little easier or brighter. I truly believe God has a special place for Sunny. A place in Heaven where she can continue her passion for helping others. She will be missed dearly here, but I believe that she is happy again, and preparing for the day when we see her again. Until then, I will keep you and your family in my prayers. With much love, Jeannie Liss

Sunny. A word that describes brightness, warmth, joy, and light. There is no coincidence that Sonia was "known" as Sunny. From the moment I met her more than 25 years ago, she made an impact on me and the lives of my husband and children. There has never been a time when I didn't feel welcomed and loved when in her presence. Her home was as open as her heart. Sunny was there in times of joy and sadness. I'll never forget her gracious and servant's heart when she allowed my family and others to gather at her home following the memorial service for our son. The front of her refrigerator was filled with love in the collection of photos and Christmas cards sent by those who were privileged to have Sunny in their lives. As life grew busier and visits less frequent, it was with an enhanced excitement that we would look forward to Christmas Eve at Sunny's. It was a time to hear her delightful laugh, feel her hand on yours, and experience the warmth of her love and care. Our day-to-day lives will feel the painful emptiness of knowing that Sunny is no longer with us here on earth. May we find comfort in our memories and reflect on the beautiful legacy of a woman who loved and gave so freely. And as a testament of our love for Sunny, may we live like she did; serving and loving with grace and joy. Thank you, Sunny, for joining me and countless others on this journey called life. You have made a difference and I am, and will always be, thankful for you. May God bless and comfort all who are mourning the loss of a beautiful woman. Rob, Alice, Tara, Alec, and Angel Tyler
