Obituary of Arthur Henry Boisselle, Jr.
Arthur Henry Boisselle, Jr., 85, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1958, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2018. Art was a longtime professor at Pikes Peak Community College, a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to a great number of people.Art was born on July 5, 1933 in Haverhill, Massachusetts to the late Arthur, Sr. and Eva Cora (Hamel) Boisselle. He was a 1951 graduate of Haverhill High School and joined the Air Force in North Truro, Massachusetts. Art was assigned to Armstrong, Canada; NORAD in 1956; Kassel, Germany; CSC Aerospace; Cheyenne Mountain AFB; Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, Florida; Tyndall AFB in Panama City, Florida; Johnston Island, Pacific; and CSC Headquarters Aerospace. He retired from the Air Force in 1972 with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant.Art received his Bachelor of Arts in Business and later received his Masters in Organizational Management from the University of Colorado. He earned two PhD's from Colorado State University in Business Management and Vocational Education. He was a professor at Pikes Peak Community College from 1972 to 1997. Art was a clarinet player with the New Horizons Band and an active member of the congregation of Ascension Lutheran Church. He had been a leader for new membership at Bethel Lutheran Church where he personally served new members over fifty consecutive Spaghetti Suppers.He enjoyed working, volunteering, golf, bowling. He was an intense Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan.Art is preceded in death by his beloved Dorla (Nussbaum) Boisselle in 2010; and his sister, Cecile (Boisselle) Travers in 2009.He is survived by his three children, Rene Ayers of Bennett, Colorado, Dale (Deborah) Boisselle of Davenport, Florida and Cheryl (Donald) Wood of Denver, Colorado. Art has five wonderful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, David (Tracyann) Wood of Aurora, Colorado, Christopher (Rebecca) Wood, of Davenport, Florida, Timothy Ayers of Bennett, Colorado, Nicole Boisselle of Omaha, Nebraska and Ryan Boisselle, both of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Great-grandchildren include Aiden Wood, Paige Wood and Deanna Wood.Memorial Service, 11:00AM, Saturday, December 1, 2018, Ascension Lutheran Church, 2505 North Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
