Obituary of John Joseph Snyder

John Joseph Snyder, 57, of Colorado Springs and Falcon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 4, at his home.John was born in Omaha, Nebraska to James A. and Adeline C. (Walega) Snyder on April 19, 1961. He married Linda Horvath on June 9, 1984 in Winfield, Illinois. He graduated from Illinois Benedictine College, Lisle, Illinois and received his Master's degree in computer science from Nova Southeastern University. He worked as a computer programmer for University of Illinois Hospital and Clinics, then M&I Bank, before taking on the role of stay-at-home dad for he and Linda's four sons. Since moving to Colorado in 2014, John has been occupied by developing his ranch property in Falcon and caring for his horses there. John is to be remembered by his generosity over his lifetime, as a Red Cross blood donor, for sending packages of supplies to overseas troops, and most recently providing Thanksgiving Dinner to his Church Parish. John enjoyed cooking for family and friends and Snyderfest was always a culinary treat.John was preceded in death by his mother; and oldest brother, Dr. James A. Snyder, Jr. John is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Nathan (Samantha) of Henderson, Nevada, Matthew and Timothy, both of Colorado Springs, and Jacob, of Reno, Nevada; granddaughter, Madeline; father, James A.
