Obituary of Beverly Dyer

Beverly Dyer, 79, died peacefully on December 7, 2018 in Castle Rock, Colorado after a hard fought, five-year battle with ovarian cancer.She was born on December 18, 1938 in Geary County, Kansas to Lawrence and Marguerite (Adams) Budden.� She married James Kenneth Dyer on March 31, 1956.Beverly was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who spent her life serving others as a Secretary in Civil Service, notably for the U.S. Naval Reserve Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and the Southwestern Power Administration in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as Trinity Lutheran Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.� She achieved her high school dream of being a wife, mother, and secretary and she devoted herself to those endeavors.� Beverly was an expert seamstress who made clothes for family and later turned to quilting, giving away quilts to others.� Beverly was a role model for her faith in her Lord and Savior.� She was baptized at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1971 and was an active member at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for many years.� She thoroughly enjoyed having her grandchildren visit for weeks at a time over the summers.Her family would like to thank Dr. Gold of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dr. Pikaart of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and New Century Hospice and their staff for their excellent care of Beverly during her illness.She was preceded in death by her son, Dale L. Dyer in 1971; and her husband, James K. Dyer in 2018.Beverly is survived by her children, Diana L. (Steven) Vaughan, David L. Dyer, Deborah L. (Chris) Bolden, Danielle L.
