Obituary of Linda Rae Haefner

Linda Rae Haefner, 65, died December 14, 2018 in Calhan, Colorado. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend.She was born September 1, 1953 in Lamar, Colorado.Linda lived in Lamar for a very short time until her father joined the United States Army. The family traveled to Washington state, North Carolina and had three deployments to Germany. Linda was very active in scouts at a young age and earned many badges. She bowled, played softball and golfed. She was a title clerk in the automotive industry for many years. This is where she met her soulmate, Darwin. Linda loved camping and fishing, especially with her husband, Darwin, and their families. She was very proud of her children and their accomplishments.Linda is preceded in death by her father, Eldon Ray Broughton; stepson, Darwin Heafner, Jr.; and brother, Jim Broughton.She is survived by her husband, Darwin Haefner; son, Joshua (Katie) Skolnekovich; daughter, Tami (Penny) Skolnekovich; stepdaughters, Teresa (Steve) Cartwright and Linda Pearson; mother, June Marie (Thompson) Broughton; brother, Ken (Karen) Broughton and their children, Maggie, Luke, Chloe, Jake and Holly; sisters, Jo Lynn (Gary) Lockhart and their children, Jason, Katie and Kent, and Kathy Ford and her children, Cody (Corinna) and Keelan.
