Obituary of Malcolm Xavier Montgomery
Malcolm was born January 4, 1992 in Riverdale, Georgia and suddenly entered eternal rest on January 29, 2019 in Amarillo, Texas at the tender age of 27. He accepted the gift of salvation at an early age and attended and served at Calvary Worship Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Malcolm graduated from Mesa Ridge High School in 2010. He attended Pikes Peak Community College 2010-2011. He later relocated to Texas and attended West Texas A&M University. He graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in May 2016. He was a news director for ABC 7 in Amarillo, Texas until he made his journey to his eternal home. Malcolm was a loving and generous young man to all he knew. He loved God and people well. He will certainly be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie & Ophelia Durant and Walter & Rosa Montgomery; aunt, Audrey Ham; and uncles, Willie Durant, Jr. and Leonard Montgomery.Malcolm is survived by his father, Amos (Regina) Montgomery; mother, Lisa (Rigoberto) Lopez; uncles,�Joseph (Fannie) Montgomery, Leroy Montgomery, Michael (Ebony) Durant, Kenneth Durant and Frederick Durant; aunts, Doris (Hilton) Wearing, Druscilla (Ron) Farrell, Elizabeth (Joe) Gethers and Latasha (Paul) Johnson; sisters, Tiphanique Montgomery and Dominique Montgomery; brother, Daniel Lopez; nieces, a nephew, many cousins and friends.Visitation, 9:00AM-10:00AM, followed by a Funeral Service, 10:00AM, Saturday, February 9, 2019, Calvary Worship Center, 501 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903.Interment, Fairview Cemetery, 1000 S. 26th Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80904.
