Obituary of Javier "Tony" Antonio Alaniz Rodriguez

Javier Antonio Alaniz Rodriguez was born January 17, 1988 in Zacatecas, Mexico to Javier Alaniz and Carmen Rodriguez. Known to everyone as Tony and the oldest of his eight siblings, he tragically passed away at the age of 31 in the early morning on the 23 of February, 2019 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Tony is remembered for his fighters spirit, hard work ethic, and most importantly his family, including his step-daughter, Brianna (15); sons, Xavier (12) and Zayden (5); and daughter, Lizette (11). Everyone who knew Tony knew him as a charismatic man whose family meant the world to him. His family gave him the strength to continuously fight his diagnosis. Living well beyond the time doctors had initially considered possible, Tony was able to spend one last holiday season with his children laughing and joking the whole way through. Tony is a reminder to all of us that heart and determination along with the love of ones' family can take you far in this life. We know Tony will continue to look after his children in the afterlife giving them a guardian angel they will have for the rest of their lives.
